Yeah. I am.
I've had people come at me with knives, swords, bats, crowbars and fists. I've nearly been hit by trains, cars, transports, bikes, skateboards. I've nearly gone over the side of a 400 foot cliff.
None of that bothered me.
The last time I was afraid was when Logan was seriously ill and could have died.
Today I, we, found out that Carrie may have some serious health problems. She went to her gynocologist appointment today. I'm glad she did.
For the last several years she has had problems with her period. Very irregular, very heavy, very painful. She had been diagnosed with polycystic overies and told that that was the source of the problems. Today we found out that was mostly true.
The doctor has seen many cases of polycystic ovary syndrome that have turned into cancer. She took a biopsy sample from Carrie. Based on the look of the sample the doctor doesn't think it looks good. Now we have to wait a few days untill the results come in to confirm it.
All I can do is hope. And I feel so small and angry becasue that's all I can do.

Death in the family
Yup. There was a death.
Harvey Hamtaro Hamster passed away last night. We had him for about 4 years and he was BIG. Many of our friends mistook him for a baby Guinea Pig.
Compared to most of the hamsters I've met he was extremely gentle and well behaved, never bit ANYONE. Except the Carrie, but that's because she had been eating sunflower seeds before she picked him. She didn't bleed so it wasn't a hard bite, he just wanted to tase the food. LOL
We now have a sad 6 year old boy. Harvey was his first pet and the first pet to die. But we all must learn about death at some point. Best to tell him up front what happened instead of shielding him from it by buying a replacement hamster with out telling him. Logan seems to be taking it well though. He help dispose of the body and just asked if he should through the hamsterfood in the trash. "Harvey won't need it now", he said.
Now all that's left to do is sterilize the tank that was Harvey's home. Hot water and some bleach will take care of that. Once it's clean we're going to look into getting another snake. I'd like to get a Califonia King Snake. If not that then maybe a bearded dragon.
Well, we'll have to look around and see.
