Yup. I'm a lot better now. I can walk Logan to and from school. Mind you I'm still having pain when I put socks and shoes on. The bending isn't the problem, it's the straightening out and of course some quick movements.
When I stand up it feels as though I have a major ass cramp. My right butt cheek is the worst and feels like I've been shot with a nail gun. The pain moves into my thigh and cramps my calf too. The left side isn't as bad. It feels like a cramp but stops about mid thigh.
Logan broke his glasses on Friday. We needed to pick up some paperwork at ODSP so I (stupidly) walked up there. Normally the walk takes me about 45 minutes round trip. This time it took me 90 minutes. I was good on the way up there, aside from a dog biting me. Nothing major, it freaked out at my coat blowing in the wind, tried to get the "monster" and ended up getting my pant leg. All I felt was a pinch.
Three quarters of the way home the pain in my back and in my leg was enough to bring me to tears. When I got home I took 2 Tylenol with codeine and laid down for an hour and a half. I spent the rest of the weekend feeling like I'd run back to back marathons.
I got an email from my sister Paula a few days ago. Looks like she's coming for a visit. She'll be in the area for about a week. It'll be good to see here again.
There's also a rumor that my mom's brother may be coming for a visit as well.
I've been jotting down some ideas on how to expand my little story. The only thing that seems consistent to all of them is that what's written is a dream. I suppose that's ok but a part of me feels it's a bit of a cliché. Kind of like Snoopy and "It was a dark and stormy night".
